Little Crackers

As we open up the last few windows on our advent calendars, the television schedules are filled up with all sorts of programmes with promises to deliver us heaps of festive cheer but only few have genuinely managed to make me feel properly christmassy as have Sky 1’s Little Crackers.

The little series delivers 12 minute semi-autobiographical episodes written and directed by some of the UK’s best comedic talents including the likes of Catherine Tate, Dawn French, Bill Bailey, Kathy Burke and Stephen Fry and as can be expected with such a fantastic calibre of stars, the programmes have been really entertaining to watch.

My favourite episode so far has to be by The IT Crowd’s Chris O’ Dowd where the story revolves around him and his vendetta against Father Christmas and his plan to stop Father Christmas from visiting his house and ruining Christmas Day for him ever again. The trailer for this episode can be watched below.

It’s a shame that these are only available to Sky customers as I think that the stories and the acting are so wonderful and enjoyable, it’s a shame that so many people are going to miss on some truly hilarious, but in some cases quite familiar, festive situations.
