1973: The Year British Radio Changed Forever

Over on the BBC website there is a great video put together about the launch of the independent commercial stations LBC and Capital and the subsequent changes to British radio afterwards.

It’s a really enjoyable piece and it’s great to hear how distinct all the stations used to be before so many were bought up and turned into the local versions of bigger brands.

Also, how often do you get to hear the first advert for fish fingers?
